Welcome to your thrilling, action-packed, 60-minute Zoom session with me to blueprint your brand strategy. It’s like speed dating, but without the dating, so it's not actually like speed dating. We’ll dive into your project scope, target audience, and long-term objectives, developing a strategic approach— kind of like assembling IKEA furniture, but without the extra screws and/or crying. Cancellations or reschedules are cool as long as you let me know 24 hours before, because I can’t time-travel. Yet. And if tech issues happen, don't panic— I’m an IT expert according to my dad.
Consultation Policy
This policy outlines the terms and conditions for scheduling and conducting Zoom meetings (hereby referred to as a "session") with me, Dawson Bodenhamer. I offer a Free Introductory Session and paid Project Kickoff Sessions.
Free Introductory Session (15-20 Minutes)
Purpose: A free, introductory call to discuss your needs and project fit.
Ideal for: Initial contact, smaller projects, quick questions, and feedback.
Includes: A focused 15-20 minute Zoom call to discuss your project's core requirements and assess project fit.
Cost: Free
Project Kickoff Sessions (Paid)
Creative Catalyst (30-Minute Session)
Purpose: In-depth planning for medium-sized projects.
Ideal for: Logo design, branding, and website discussions.
Includes: A focused 30-minute Zoom call to delve into project details, goals, and vision.
Price: $50
Brand Blueprint (60-Minute Session)
Purpose: Thorough strategy for large-scale projects.
Ideal for: Comprehensive branding, in-depth website strategy, and complex projects.
Includes: A comprehensive 60-minute Zoom call to explore project scope, target audience, objectives, and strategic approach. Each session lasts about 60 minutes, which is scientifically proven to be the exact amount of time before a human’s attention span dissolves into thoughts about lunch.

*Note: While the Free Introductory Session is perfect for initial discussions and smaller-scale needs, the Project Kickoff Sessions are a valuable investment for projects needing dedicated planning time. They allow for a deeper dive into your needs, ensuring the design work aligns perfectly with your vision and goals. This focused time saves you time and money in the long run by minimizing revisions and ensuring strategic alignment from the outset.
Scheduling Project Kickoff Sessions
To schedule a Project Kickoff Session, choose either Creative Catalyst or Brand Blueprint above and click on "Schedule Now," (at least 24 hours in advance.)
A fee, corresponding to the chosen Project Kickoff Session price, is required at the time of scheduling. This fee is refundable if you cancel with at least 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled session time. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to attend the session, the fee is non-refundable. This fee contributes to the total project cost for Project Kickoff Sessions.
A confirmation email with the Zoom session link will be sent once the scheduling and payment are completed.
Clients must ensure their Zoom software is up-to-date and functioning properly before the session.
Scheduling Limit
Clients are limited to initiating one consultation per week unless otherwise agreed upon. This policy ensures that all clients receive equitable access to scheduling availability and allows for focused attention on each project by ensuring Dawson doesn't slowly morph into a floating Zoom entity that exists solely inside video calls.
In exceptional cases where additional Project Kickoff Sessions are urgently needed, contact me to discuss. Emergency requests will be evaluated case-by-case and may be accommodated at my discretion.
Session Purpose
The purpose of the Free Introductory Session is for initial contact, quick project discussions, and smaller-scope inquiries.
The purpose of Project Kickoff Sessions is for in-depth project planning, strategy, and detailed scope definition for larger projects.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation for Refund: If you need to cancel your Project Kickoff Session, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled session time. In this case, you will be eligible for a full refund of the session fee.
Cancellation without Refund: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you fail to attend the session at the scheduled time (no-show), the session fee is non-refundable.
Rescheduling: Life happens! You can reschedule your Project Kickoff Session without penalty, provided you reschedule at least 24 hours before your originally scheduled session time.
How to Cancel or Reschedule: Please use the rescheduling link in your confirmation email, or contact me directly to cancel or reschedule.
In case of technical difficulties on my end, I will reschedule your session at no additional cost to you, or offer a full refund if rescheduling is not possible for you.
Late Policy
Clients are expected to join Zoom sessions on time. Sessions end at the scheduled time, regardless of your arrival time.
For Project Kickoff Sessions ("Creative Catalyst" & "Brand Blueprint"), being more than 10 minutes late without notice is a no-show, with no refund or reschedule. For the Free Introductory Session, lateness may result in a shortened session. If you attempt to argue with me about this in an email, please attach a drawing of a duck wearing a top hat so I know you’ve read the policy.
Confidentiality & Session Recording
Session Recording: For security purposes and to ensure the quality of customer service, please be advised that all Zoom sessions are recorded. These recordings are intended for internal use only, to help improve service quality, resolve potential disputes, and maintain accurate records of our interactions.
Implied Consent: By scheduling and participating in a Zoom session, you acknowledge and provide your implied consent to the session being recorded.
Data Security: Recordings are stored securely and accessed only by me for legitimate business purposes related to service quality and security.
No Sharing: Session recordings are not shared with third parties unless required by law.
If you have concerns about session recording, please discuss them with me prior to scheduling your session.
Fees and Payments
The fee applies only to Project Kickoff Sessions and varies by session type, as detailed above. The Free Introductory Session is complimentary.
Fees for Project Kickoff Sessions are refundable if you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice. Fees are non-refundable for cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or for no-shows.
Disclaimer
I may cancel/reschedule sessions due to unforeseen issues. Sessions are for understanding needs; project agreements will follow.
